Thank you Gary for a strangely perceptive article. I would never have even guessed there was a translation issue here. But after very carefully studying your findings, I could see the importance of even a word like ‘the’ and how it can totally alter the meaning of a sentence.
After all these years of being puzzled by what Jesus meant by calling Himself ’The Son of Man’ I’m now confident I’ve got the answer in ‘The Son of The Man’. And more importantly I feel I have inched closer to understanding the brilliant mind of our Lord Jesus.
