A Great Movie about Acting on Jesus's Words
Just yesterday, I saw the movie, “The Sound of Freedom.” There is only one line quoted from Jesus in it, a section of Matthew 18:6:
KJV: “…it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck…”
What was particularly funny is that the bad guy didn’t get the reference. However, one of the most moving parts of the film was one of the former bad guys tells the story of his waking up to what he was doing/ He described this as being overwhelmed by a darkness and realizing that he himself had become the darkness. He decided that he shouldn’t live. As he started to commit suicide, putting his gun to his head, he asked the natural question, “Does God exist?” To see what happens, you should go to see it.
Also, you should see it a movie theater, with other people. It is beautifully filmed. The movie’s opening and ending shots are among the best I have ever seen, telling a complete story .
